Setting up your Meta Headset with Settings for easier Use
Hand/Eye-tracking
For easier interactions, please turn on hand (MQ3 and MQPro), eye, and facial expression tracking (MQPro).
Hand tracking
Hand Tracking is a feature for Meta Quest headsets that allows you to use your hands in place of your Touch Pro or Touch controllers.
Turn Hand Tracking on or off

Press on your right Touch controller to pull up your universal menu.

Hover over the clock on the left side of the universal menu. When Quick Settings appears, select it to open the Quick Settings panel.

Select Settings in the top right corner.

Select Device from the left menu, then select Hands and Controllers.

Select the toggle next to Hand Tracking to turn it on or off.
From here, you can also turn auto switch for hand tracking on or off.

If this setting is on, your headset will automatically switch between using your hands or controllers if you put your controllers down or pick them up.

If this setting is off, you will need to manually enable and disable hand tracking.

Eye tracking (MQPro)
If you choose to turn on eye tracking, your headset will analyze images of your eyes to produce a set of numbers that represent estimates of where you’re looking in VR.
To enable Eye tracking for your Meta Quest Pro headset:

Navigate to Settings in VR

Select Movement tracking

Select Eye tracking

Toggle Eye tracking to on.

Facial expressions (MQPro)
If you choose to turn on Natural Facial Expressions, your headset will analyze images of your face in real time to produce a set of numbers that represent estimates of where you’re looking in VR and your facial movement.
To enable Natural Facial Expressions for your Meta Quest Pro headset:

Navigate to Settings in VR.

select Movement tracking.
-
select Natural Facial Expressions.

Toggle Natural Facial Expressions on to enable it.
You can disable Natural Facial Expressions at any time by toggling the feature off across the device and all apps in Settings. You can also temporarily pause Natural Facial Expressions across the device and all apps in Quick Settings at any time.
